After much gnashing of teeth and other associated displays of anger and grief the forums have returned! Lets get this party started!

Yes we can provided of course we do the obligatory clean up afterward. No fires can be lit on the turf. Funny how once knights had rules and restrictions for footy players but now footy players have rules and restrictions for knights!

I have had an enquiry with regards to the lighting of fires within the historical campsite...are they permissable with sand, steel plate? I am aware it is on a footie field!

If you are not sure I can speak to Mac from the Ironfest Organising Committee!

Cheers
Andrew

This year we are on the new site for the festival. The new site is next to the old one and is in a small wood. It of course has been carefully cleared to make space for encampments and such but it certainly more natural and immersive than the school grounds were. EdC will be right at the entrance to the jousting lists which makes life easy for us and will ensure we get a lot of people coming by our encampment. We also get to put up some permanent structures.

Some of you may recognise this helm combo from prior posts such as http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=85129&highlight=

For sale is the fluted bascinet which comes with a detachable-side mounted dog face visor. The aventail is integral as in earlier period bascinets and has a padded liner that sits underneath.

The great helm comes complete with a wrapper. It is a monster of a helmet and would be great for a jousting helm.

All construction is 16 gauge mild.

I want $1200 Australian. This doesn't include shipping. For E dC members only I will throw in a free pair of butted maille chausses or practical sword with a double wrap belt, you choose.

Please see some pics of the beast following!
